Terms of Use

Privacy policy

No personal information (i.e. name, e-mail address, birth date, country of origin, etc.) provided by our members will be shared with any entity unrelated to this website; apart from the following specific cases: (a) authors who submit content to the site and thus may have their personal information exposed upon the pages wherein the content is published, and (b) users who claim prizes in contests organized by the site, in which the users voluntarily participate and thereby authorize the site to supply their e-mail addresses to the sponsors who will contact them to deliver prizes. Requirement to subscribe

This site does not require a person to subscribe in order to access current site content. However, a membership is required for access to archived content.

Mailing list subscriptions

As a feature of each subscription, the site sends free newsletters and new site content alert messages by means of several types of mailing lists. All users are automatically joined to these mailing lists once they confirm the site subscription process. Users who wish to discontinue receipt of these mailing list messages may unsubscribe from any of the lists, either by going to the user options page and deselecting the respective alerts and newsletter options, or by sending an unsubscribe e-mail request as explained at the bottom of all mailing list messages.

Unsubscribe requests are processed in the following manner: An automated program sends a reply containing a special "URL" that users access to confirm unsubscribe requests. Given that the site provides two self-service methods to unsubscribe from site mailing lists, the site administrators do not handle user unsubscribe requests. However, they may provide user instruction in difficult cases.

No multiple accounts

Multiple accounts are not allowed. The site refuses requests to subscribe using duplicate access names or e-mail addresses.

Updates to the "terms of use"

These terms of use may be updated periodically to provide members with clarification or to cover new aspects of the site. The updated terms of use are presented the next time a subscriber makes an authenticated access to the site. Users are required to confirm that they have read, understood, and accept the new terms of use in order to be allowed to continue to access the site.

OCC Makeup goes Vegan!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has gone vegan. "We pledge not to use animal-derived ingredients (including lanolin, beeswax, carmine, etc.) in our products ever", stated OCC founder David Klasfield. "We simply believe that it's unnecessary, since there are alternatives that are just as readily available, and equally effective in the formulation of our products."
